Shtukater was interviewed by WIRED Magazine on the feasibility of smart contact lens technology. Michael has been a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry since 2004 and serves as chair of the Admittance Committee for new fellows outside the USA. Michael is one of the co-creators and testers of Triggerfish (a smart contact lens produced by Sensimed for measuring intraocular pressure).
